Calista Tait, who mostly goes by Cat, came to Mazer as a flute player alone. She had played clarinet for one year way back in middle school, and had played flute from middle school to the beginning of high school. She was gravely out of practice when she joined the band. Since then she has gotten back into practice, picked up the clarinet again and been infected with Eric's instrument buying habit. Recently she has acquired a bassoon, sax and is borrowing an oboe.
